Dry Needling

Dry needling is a treatment technique used by trained health professionals to relieve muscle pain and improve movement. It involves inserting very fine, sterile needles into tight or tender areas of muscle, known as trigger points, to reduce tension, improve blood flow, and promote healing.

Dry needling is commonly used to treat muscular pain, sports injuries, headaches, and joint stiffness. It differs from acupuncture in that it is based on modern anatomical and scientific principles, focusing specifically on musculoskeletal conditions.

The physio’s will always ask for consent before using dry needling as a treatment technique.
